Lake Wenatchee YMCA Camp
(Grades K-9 in May 2014)
Summer Camp gives youth and teens opportunities to learn and grow in an outdoor environment. With the support of specially trained leaders, campers explore and appreciate nature, take on new challenges, work in groups, and develop new friendships. Y-Camp staff are dedicated to providing a safe and wholesome environment for each camper and undergo extensive training prior to the camp season. Campers take part in a traditional camping experience in a beautiful natural setting on the north shore of Lake Wenatchee. Activities include campfires, cookouts, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, archery, and arts and crafts. Specialty Camps provide extended experiences in overnight hiking, stand up paddling, fishing or horseback trail riding. The very youngest campers can attend special half-week sessions designed just for them and a leadership development program is available for older campers. Five weekly sessions begin July 7. For more information on Lake Wenatchee YMCA Camp programs, go to www.lwycamp.org or come to the Y.
Questions? Camp Director, Tim McElravy is available to meet with parents to determine which camping experience would best meet their child’s needs and expectations.
