Your donation to the Sustainable Bike Co-Op helps provide affordable bicycles, hands-on repair education, and sustainable transportation opportunities for individuals and families in our community. Every contribution supports bike refurbishment, reduces waste, and empowers more people to ride toward a healthier future.

We accept donations of:

  • Bikes

  • Tools and bike parts

  • Financial contributions

  • Depending on the item and its condition, your donation may:

    1. Be refurbished and given away to someone in need.

    2. Be taken apart, with usable pieces reused or recycled.

    3. Be used to help fundraise for our programs.

  • There are many factors that go into determining how a donated bike or item will be used, including:

    • Condition of the bike or item

    • Desirability and usability

    • Fit with current community needs

    • Current shop and program needs

    These decisions are made by our team on a case-by-case basis.

    If a bike is parted out, reused, or recycled, we work to ensure that the materials are used as sustainably as possible. Parting out a bike allows us to identify each material and its end stream. Examples include metal recycling, reusing bike parts, and providing materials to local artists.
