Here at Your Y, Everyone Is Welcome

The Y is a membership organization open to all people. We welcome women, men, girls and boys of all ages, races, ethnicity, religions, abilities, sexual orientations and financial circumstances. Our programs and services embrace diversity, reflecting the people and needs of our communities.

Our Mission

The Mission of the Wenatchee Valley YMCA is to strengthen youth, families, and communities by promoting Christian principles and putting them into practice through leadership and programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

Our Cause

At the Y, strengthening community is our cause.  We believe that lasting personal and social change can only come about when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health and our neighbors.  That's why we focus our work in three areas:

~Youth Development - Nurturing the potential of children and teens ~Health Living - Improving community health and well-being ~Social Responsibility - Giving back and supporting our neighbors

History of The Wenatchee Valley YMCA

(1910-2019)

Celebrating 109 Years in Wenatchee

Over one hundred years ago, a group of people met to discuss the needs of boys and young men in Wenatchee and decided the organization of a Young Men’s Christian Association could give direction to the leisure time of youth and stimulate the development of Christian character. Programs have changed over the years, but the YMCA’s commitment to kids and community has seen it through two world wars, the depression, a variety of social struggles and multiple economic downturns.

Throughout its history, the YMCA has been blessed with community leaders who had the capacity to dream big dreams and were then willing to commit themselves to the fulfillment of those dreams. It is our sincere hope that our Centennial celebration inspires future generations to build upon the firm foundation of the Wenatchee Valley YMCA’s first 100 years.

Our Valley Locations

The YMCA in Wenatchee is a full-service facility on the corner of Chelan and Orondo Avenues. We offer a full complement of equipment in our Fitness Center, swimming pool, locker rooms, gymnasium, climbing wall and three racquetball courts.  The facility also features a babysitting area and a Teen Center with a computer lab and fitness arcade.

The YMCA in East Wenatchee is currently closed for renovations, but will be looking fantastic for 2020! This facility will still offer the same amenities as before, but with a complete face lift.

The Eastmont YMCA Aquatic Center (EYAC) is a public facility owned by Eastmont Metropolitan Parks District (EMPD), operated by the Wenatchee Valley YMCA and available to the general public. All Eastmont YMCA Aquatic Center programs are available to community members either through a class fee or an admission fee.
