INFANT - 5 YEARS

At the Y, we focus on allowing all children to learn, grow and thrive in a positive, supportive environment with skilled staff and volunteers dedicated to our purpose and goals.

At the YMCA we believe that every infant is born with an eagerness to learn about their world. Infants use their newly developing senses to gain a sense of security and identity, and to explore objects and people in their world. As caregivers, both parents and teachers, it’s our job to set the stage for the child’s next learning encounters.

PARENT/CHILD PROGRAMS

The YMCA's Parent & Child Programs, whether in the pool or in the gym, offer special one-on-one time together that not only develops and strengthens relationships but also teaches new skills.

CHILD WATCH

Child Watch is included with your Family Membership!

Babysitting is offered to our members so they can use the facility while their children, (crawling through age 5) are cared for in a safe and fun environment.

SWIM LESSONS

Learning to be a better swimmer can help kids build self-confidence and self-esteem and is an easy way to stay physically active and improve strength, flexibility and endurance. Safety around water is paramount for all children so start their lessons early!

Youth Policy

The safety and welfare of every child in our facilities is of the utmost importance for the Y administration. To that effect, the following policy will help us protect and care for your child while they are with us. All members under age 13 must be in a structured activity, such as Kid Zone, Child Watch, Teen Center, Youth Sports, Open Youth Swim, Swim Lessons, or directly supervised at all times by an adult family member, age 18 and older.

Members 13 and older may use the gymnasium, or Teen Swim when available. Youth ages 11 - 15 are permitted in the Fitness Center with direct and constant supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

Youth ages 12-15 (or grades 6-9) must complete Uplift to be permitted in the Fitness Center or allowed to participate in adult Group Exercise classes without a parent or guardian.

The Teen Center is for youth in grades 6th-12th only and during specific Teen hours.

Members 16 and older may use the Y facility and services without parental supervision.
